Belgium currently holds the presidency of the Council of the EU, which is significant due to the European elections scheduled for June 2024. During the Belgian Presidency, numerous meetings take place with national representatives in the Council's working groups, as well as gatherings of Member States' ambassadors to the EU and ministerial meetings.
